At SkyNews, we love seeing your photos. Not only do we feature reader-submitted images in our popular Photo of the Week contest, but we also use them in the magazine.

So, if you have have taken an astrophoto you’d like to share with our readers, please follow these submission guidelines:

1. Images should be in JPEG format, 2,400 pixels wide (or larger), and should not have text (such as labels or copyright notices) imprinted on them. (This information appears in the captions that accompany the photos, when used.)

2. Please include as many of the following details as possible: camera make, lens (or make/model of telescope), focal ratio, exposure time, ISO setting, processing steps, location and date. Feel free to add any other interesting details about the circumstances surrounding the photo, or anecdotes describing how/why the photo was captured.

3. Be sure to include your full name, city and province in your email. Send it to editor@skynews.ca, and let us know the image is for submission in the subject line.

(If you’d like to enter the Photo of the Week contest, please use this submission form.)

Article submissions
