Photo of the Week for March 27, 2015

Now nearly two months after opposition, big, bright Jupiter is high in evening sky after sunset and remains an inviting target for telescope users. One of the planet’s most interesting features is its Great Read Spot — a giant storm that has been brewing in the Jovian cloud tops for centuries. The planet and Red Spot are both nicely captured in this February 27 portrait by Manuel Guerrero.
