Sunset Crater National Monument near Flagstaff, Arizona, is a favourite dark site for Canadian astrophotographer Klaus Brasch whose retirement home is only a short drive away. “Despite some haze and high clouds, I managed to get some good piggy back shots of the Scorpius area and put together this mosaic composed of several 30 second to one minute exposures using a modified Canon 6D with a 50 mm f/1.8 lens at f/3.5 at ISO 3200.”
