Photo of the Week for March 21, 2014
The two moons beside Jupiter, from left to right, are Io and Europa, respectively. Captured March 6, 2014, by Daniel LeClerc from his backyard, Pointe-aux-Trembles, Quebec. He reports, “I was imaging during a moment of good seeing on this evening, which is essential given my relatively modest scope, a Sky-Watcher 8-inch Newtonian.”
Details: Imaging Source DBK21AU618.AS camera, 4× Barlow lens, UV/IR-cut filter, 60fps. 2000 frames stacked with AutoStakkert! 2, Iris was used for wavelets processing.
