While visiting Norway on an aurora tour last October, Quebec photographer Michel Samson captured this dramatic display of northern lights above the Nærøysund Bridge. The bridge is situated near the village of Rørvik and connects the islands of Marøya and Vikna.

Samson recorded the scene with a two-second exposure at ISO 4000 with a Nikon D810 DSLR camera and Nikkor 24-70mm zoom lens set to f/2.8.
